Kylian Mbappe backed for Ballon d’Or despite trophyless season

Summary

Kylian Mbappe, playing for Real Madrid, has received backing for the Ballon d'Or from former Sevilla midfielder Steven Nzonzi. Although he had a standout individual season, scoring nine goals, he concluded the last term without any trophies, and France was eliminated in the World Cup semifinals. Nzonzi expressed his belief that individual accomplishments should be prioritized over trophies, suggesting that Mbappe's talent warrants recognition despite his team’s lack of success. Real Madrid is preparing for upcoming matches against Sevilla, Leipzig, and Barcelona, where Mbappe's performance will be crucial.
