The LA Galaxy completed a trade for midfielder Pablo Ruiz, sending $400,000 in 2027 General Allocation Money to Real Salt Lake. The 27-year-old moves to Los Angeles after spending eight years with Real Salt Lake, where he appeared in 162 matches. Ruiz contributed nine goals and 19 assists during his tenure, though he missed significant time during the 2024 season following a left ACL tear. LA Galaxy general manager Will Kuntz cited the player's experience and intelligence as primary drivers for the acquisition. Real Salt Lake officials acknowledged his professional contributions since he joined the club from San Luis de Quillota in 2018. Ruiz, who previously represented Argentina at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup, will join the Galaxy roster immediately.
