Lady Buffaloes seek first win as they face tough competition

VolleyballThe McAlester Lady Buffaloes volleyball team is currently winless at 0-9 after losing their first matches against Sapulpa and Tishomingo in four sets. Following a challenging time at the Sand Springs tournament where they faced several top teams, the Lady Buffaloes are looking to turn their season around. Coach Chris Burns believes that competing against strong opponents early on will ultimately benefit the team. They have an upcoming match against Tahlequah, which currently holds a 1-8 record, and will later participate in the Sapulpa tournament facing multiple Class-5A teams. McAlester has yet to play a home match this season, with the first one scheduled for the MacTown Throwdown tournament next weekend.
