Lakeland and Lake Wales record victories in high school football action

Lakeland and Lake Wales both secured victories during the latest slate of regional football games. Lakeland defeated Osceola 40-6 on the road, with Kelin Hendrix contributing three rushing touchdowns and Xavion Mitchell opening the scoring. Lake Wales reached a 3-1 record by shutting out Lake Region 65-0 behind two touchdowns from Kaneilius Purdy and additional scores from Kingston Lloyd and Nashid Jenkins. In other results, Frostproof moved to 4-1 following a 23-0 win against Avon Park, and Haines City improved to 2-2 after a 32-20 win over George Jenkins fueled by five rushing touchdowns from Yomar Lopez.
