Lakers continue to pursue Jonathan Kuminga in trade talks

Despite recently adding players Ziaire Williams and Matisse Thybulle, the Lakers seek a two-way starting forward. ESPN's Anthony Slater noted that the team is still making calls regarding Kuminga, aiming to leverage the opportunity for him to start. However, ongoing negotiations with the Atlanta Hawks, who Kuminga last played for, seem to be at a standstill due to unsatisfactory offers from Los Angeles. Kuminga, the seventh overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, has career averages of 12.5 points and 4.2 rebounds over 22.1 minutes per game.
