The Los Angeles Lakers have re-signed guard Chris Manon to a two-way contract on July 4. Manon, a defensive standout, averaged 1.6 steals and 1.5 blocks during his Summer League appearances with the Golden State Warriors last year. He spent the majority of his rookie season in the G-League with the South Bay Lakers, where he averaged 10.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.9 steals across 33 games. Manon was named to the G League All-Defensive Team and placed second in the defensive player of the year voting. This contract extension aligns with the Lakers’ strategy to bolster defensive capabilities while supporting star Luka Doncic.
