Lane Kiffin reports SEC rule prohibits pros from joining final 105 rosters

While the conference previously enacted a rule barring players from returning to the league after signing with NFL teams, a Texas judge recently issued a temporary restraining order to pause that policy. Kiffin clarified that while current regulations do not prevent these players from practicing with their respective college teams, they cannot be added to the final 105-man rosters. These rosters must be finalized one day before each program's first game of the season. The SEC plans to challenge the ongoing legal action during a scheduled court hearing this Thursday. Commissioner Greg Sankey indicated the league will continue to follow the court's current order until the matter is resolved during that session.
