Las Vegas Raiders claim cornerback Darrell Luter Jr. off waivers

The Las Vegas Raiders successfully claimed cornerback Darrell Luter Jr. on Monday. The team secured the player through the waiver wire process due to their record from last season. Luter drew significant interest from several other NFL franchises including the Tennessee Titans, Miami Dolphins, Dallas Cowboys, and Indianapolis Colts. He was the only player across the league to attract waiver claims from more than two teams. Assistant general manager Stark noted that the organization prioritized adding Luter for his special teams ability and regular-season experience. He joins a roster that includes Eric Stokes and other young defensive backs as the team looks to bolster depth under coach Klint Kubiak.
