Lauren Coughlin sets LPGA nine-hole scoring record at Walmart Championship

Lauren Coughlin made history at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship on September 25, 2026, by recording a 9-under 26 for nine holes, marking the lowest nine-hole score in LPGA history. She birdied her first nine holes, becoming the first player to achieve this feat before finishing with a bogey-free round of 10-under 61. Despite her record-setting performance, she currently stands tied for 21st place after the first two rounds, three strokes behind second place and trailing the leader Yuna Nishimura by eight shots. Coughlin, a former UVA golfer, joined the LPGA Tour in 2018 and has three tour wins to her name.
