Lee Campbell Jr. of Battle Creek Central and Leighton Birmingham of Lakeview have been named the Bronson Battle Creek Athletes of the Week for September 7-12. Campbell scored eight total touchdowns in the highest-scoring game in Michigan high school football history, a 77-76 loss to Mattawan. Birmingham led the Lakeview volleyball team to victory in the Lakeview Invitational, contributing 22 kills and 18 digs, including a key performance against rival Harper Creek. Both athletes demonstrated exceptional skills and leadership in their respective sports this past week.
