Shore Conference high school football teams begin Week 1 schedule

Shore Conference high school football teams open the season with a slate of 41 games scheduled across three days ending Saturday. The conference features 42 teams total, though Southern Regional cancelled its scheduled contest. The Week 1 schedule includes several nondivisional matchups, such as Asbury Park at Neptune and Brick Memorial at Brick Township on Thursday. Friday features multiple contests, including Donovan Catholic at St. John Vianney and a nonconference game between St. Anthony and Red Bank Catholic. Saturday concludes the week with three games, including Ocean at Colts Neck and Long Branch at Keansburg. Teams throughout the region are preparing for full schedules as the season gets underway.
