Left-handed pitcher Sid Goecke commits to Florida State baseball

Florida State baseball secured a commitment from left-handed pitcher Sid Goecke on Tuesday. Goecke, who attends Monteverde Academy in Florida, is the second player to join the Seminoles' 2028 recruiting class on Tuesday, following a commitment from Brody Radwick. The program also added infielder Alex Rodriguez to the 2028 cycle last week. As a sophomore, Goecke recorded a 4.95 ERA over 41 innings and 12 appearances, striking out 44 batters while holding opponents to a.215 batting average. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound prospect previously posted a 6.10 ERA over 10.1 innings during his freshman season. All three recent recruits for the 2028 cycle are from the state of Florida as the team continues its recruiting efforts under coach Link Jarrett.
