Lexi Held returns to Mercury after brief stint with Toronto Tempo

WNBA guard Lexi Held has rejoined the Phoenix Mercury after being waived by the Toronto Tempo last week. Held, who averaged 5.3 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 1.1 assists during her rookie season with the Mercury, played only eight games for the Tempo before her release. On Monday, she returned to the court for Phoenix, scoring five points in 15 minutes. The Mercury, currently struggling with a 2-8 record and a six-game losing streak, are looking for Held to help strengthen their roster. Kahleah Copper, leading the team in scoring, emphasized the need for the team to adhere to championship standards to improve performance.
