Linebacker Malik Harrison joins the New York Giants roster

The New York Giants signed linebacker Malik Harrison on Thursday following his release from the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh cut the veteran during post-preseason roster adjustments, a move that saved the organization nearly $5 million against the salary cap. Harrison spent one season in Pittsburgh, where he played 11 games and recorded 41 tackles. The deal marks his return to a team led by head coach John Harbaugh, for whom he previously played during his time with the Baltimore Ravens. Harrison is the eighth player with Baltimore ties to join the New York roster this offseason. He had signed a two-year, $10 million contract with Pittsburgh last year before his recent departure.
