Lions linebacker Damone Clark out indefinitely with significant injury

Summary

Detroit Lions linebacker Damone Clark is out indefinitely due to a significant injury sustained during training camp, head coach Dan Campbell announced on August 25. The injury occurred two to three weeks ago, adding uncertainty to Clark's roster position as final cuts approach. Clark, who joined the Lions this offseason, brought NFL experience but was primarily competing for a reserve role. The injury may open opportunities for other linebackers on the team, including Troy Reeder and Joe Bachie, as the Lions assess their depth at the position.
