Liverpool reach verbal agreement to sign Lucca Brughmans from Genk

Liverpool have reached a verbal agreement with Belgian club Genk to sign 18-year-old goalkeeper Lucca Brughmans. The proposed deal is worth approximately €35 million, according to reports surfacing on 31 August 2026. Under the terms of the arrangement, the goalkeeper will remain at Genk for the upcoming season to continue his professional development before joining the English club in the summer of 2027. Brughmans has already made 43 professional appearances for Genk and captained the Belgium national team at the under-17 level.
