Lohud opens voting for boys soccer player of the week

The Journal News has opened public voting for the first Boys Soccer Player of the Week of the season, presented by White Plains Hospital. Coaches submitted nominations based on standout performances from the opening week of play. Seven candidates are featured in the poll, which remains open to the public until 3 p.m. Wednesday. The winning athlete will be announced on the outlet’s social media channels. Nominees include players from Lakeland, Valhalla, Carmel, Ardsley, Keio Academy, Mahopac, and Irvington, following a series of early-season tournament and league matchups.
