Luka Doncic identifies golf as his post-NBA career path

Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic recently stated that he would pursue golf if he were not an NBA player. The Slovenian athlete, who joined the Lakers in 2025, developed an interest in the sport through teammates and coaches. Despite recording only two golf swings during his early career, Doncic has become an avid participant following recent team-wide recreational play. Coach JJ Redick and teammate Austin Reaves are noted as influences in his growing dedication to the hobby. Doncic recently spent time playing 36-hole games with teammates during a trip to Slovenia. While he acknowledges he currently lacks the skill level of Reaves, he is actively working to improve his game.
