Manchester United evaluates Lisandro Martinez's future after Atletico defeat

Manchester United's decision regarding Lisandro Martinez comes after his comments following a 2-0 Champions League loss to Atletico Madrid on October 13. The match marked United's fourth defeat in nine games this season, leading to public criticism of technical director Jason Wilcox due to a lackluster summer transfer window. While Martinez's outburst may have strained his standing with the club, reports indicate there are no plans for his immediate sale. The club is currently assessing his future as he enters the final year of his contract, with discussions expected to continue. United currently sits 13th in the Premier League after six games.
