Mariners place Randy Arozarena on injured list with hamstring strain

The Seattle Mariners have placed outfielder Randy Arozarena on the 10-day injured list due to a hamstring strain. Arozarena, an All-Star candidate, sustained the injury while trying to leg out a ground ball in a previous game against the Washington Nationals. An MRI revealed mild inflammation, contradicting initial plans for Arozarena to be available for a game against the Baltimore Orioles. In a corresponding move, the Mariners recalled Curtis Washington Jr. from High-A Everett. Washington's call-up addresses the team's thin bench, with both J.P. Crawford and Cal Raleigh returning from injury.
