- 2:00 AMCageside Seats — Matt Cardona explains why he’s glad that Chelsea Green got injured
"Chelsea Green won the interim WWE women’s championship earlier this month at SummerSlam. However, her title reign is already in jeopardy after she suffered a broken orbital bone in a match on the very next episode of SmackDown. Green cut a promo on last week’s SmackDown to change GM Nick Aldis’ mind about stripping her of the belt. Her husband Matt Cardona thought the promo was so damn good that he’s now actually glad she got injured. Cardona explained his logic during an interview this week on Busted Open. “Chelsea Green, finally becoming the women’s champion. And I told her this. I said I’m actually glad you got hurt, because you were able to cut that heartfelt promo, which I think makes her a made woman right now in WWE. I think everyone knows how entertaining she is. But she’s so much more than that, and I think that promo on Friday really cemented that.” Do you agree that Chelsea Green is now a made woman in WWE, just like other top stars Becky Lynch, Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, and Liv Morgan?
