M’Baye Niang signs with Ligue 2 side USL Dunkerque

Forward M’Baye Niang has joined USL Dunkerque on a one-season contract. The deal includes an option for a further season with the French Ligue 2 club. Niang, 31, was a free agent after departing Turkish club Gençlerbirliği SK, where he recorded six goals and two assists in 27 appearances last season. A product of the SM Caen academy, the Senegalese international has previously played for AC Milan, Watford, and various French clubs including Montpellier HSC and Stade Rennais. Over the course of his career, he has accumulated more than 160 appearances and 40 goals in Ligue 1. Niang joins a squad recently bolstered by the arrival of 2018 World Cup winner Steven Nzonzi.
