Megan Murray scores as Marquette shuts out St. Thomas 4-0

Marquette women's soccer launched its season with a 4-0 victory over St. Thomas on August 12. The Golden Eagles dominated the match, outshooting the Tommies 17-4, with three goals scored in the first half. Megan Murray netted the opening goal via a free kick, followed by contributions from Lilly Coats and Ella McAleenan. Freshman Callie Hefner capped the scoring in her debut. Marquette's defense, led by goalie Mia Hurd, achieved a shutout without facing a shot on target. The Golden Eagles will next face North Dakota State on August 14 in Fargo.
