Mendon softball, Marcellus baseball celebrate all-state players

The Michigan high school baseball and softball seasons concluded with the finals at Michigan State University. Mendon softball secured the Division 4 state championship, defeating Brown City 6-2. The Marcellus baseball team reached the Division 4 title game but lost to Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart 10-0. Three baseball players were named to the First Team All-State roster: Brody Block, Brayden Crites, and Cale Hackenberg. In softball, Mendon and Bronson each placed four players on the First Team All-State, including Taya Bingaman and Braelynn Gimenez. The accolades highlight the strong performance of local teams this season, particularly Mendon's successful run.
