Michigan basketball will open its 2026-27 season by hosting Oakland on Nov. 3 at Crisler Center. This game marks a continuation of their rivalry, with Michigan having won the past eight matchups, including a 121-78 victory last season. Both teams will feature largely different rosters following recent changes, with Michigan looking to defend its national title under new coach Mike Boynton Jr. and Oakland returning only one of its top seven scorers from last season. Following the Oakland game, Michigan will also face William & Mary on Nov. 15 and has a challenging nonconference schedule ahead, including matchups against UConn, Marquette, and Duke.
