Michigan State defeats Eastern Michigan in football home opener

Michigan State moved to 2-0 with a 35-7 victory over Eastern Michigan at Spartan Stadium on Saturday. Running back Cam Edwards led the Spartan offense with 152 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries. Quarterback Alessio Milivojevic contributed two passing touchdowns and finished with 170 passing yards. Eastern Michigan quarterback Noah Kim, a former Michigan State player, recorded the Eagles' only score on a 4-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. The Spartans outgained the Eagles 472-219 total yards during the contest. Michigan State will travel to face Notre Dame on September 19, while Eastern Michigan prepares for a road game against Wisconsin next Saturday.
