Miguel Oliveira has signed an extension to remain with the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team for the 2027 season and beyond. The decision follows a rookie campaign that saw the 31-year-old secure four podium finishes despite a shoulder injury that forced him to miss events in May and June. Meanwhile, teammate Danilo Petrucci confirmed at Magny-Cours that he and BMW will part ways at the conclusion of the current season. Petrucci, who joined the manufacturer for 2026, cited difficulties adapting to the M 1000 RR and persistent physical setbacks, including a fractured coccyx, as primary factors in the mutual decision.
