Mike McDaniel faces pressure as Chargers' offensive coordinator this season
Summary

Mike McDaniel is under scrutiny as he begins his role as offensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Chargers. Following a mixed tenure as head coach of the Miami Dolphins, he now has the opportunity to work with quarterback Justin Herbert. The Chargers expect McDaniel to elevate their offense, which features promising talents like Omarion Hampton and Ladd McConkey. If successful, McDaniel could reestablish his reputation and find himself back in the head coaching conversation. However, failure to maximize Herbert's abilities may lead to increased criticism of his coaching capabilities.
