Mio basketball star Mia McGregor commits to High Point University

Mia McGregor, a senior at Mio High School and a two-time Division 4 Player of the Year, has announced her commitment to High Point University. The guard chose the Big South program over several Division I offers, including Butler, Harvard, and Toledo. McGregor enters her final season with 2,678 career points, leaving her third on Michigan's all-time girls scoring list. She established state records last season with 1,071 total points and a 42.6 points per game average. Following her senior year at Mio, she will join a High Point team that recently appeared in back-to-back NCAA tournaments.
