Mississippi State defeats Minnesota in 38-13 defensive performance

Mississippi State defeated Minnesota 38-13 at Huntington Bank Stadium on September 12. Led by new defensive coordinator Zach Arnett, the Bulldogs held the Golden Gophers without an offensive touchdown. Minnesota quarterback Drake Lindsey completed 279 yards on 48 attempts but could not find the end zone against the Mississippi State defense. The Bulldogs limited the Minnesota rushing attack to 13 total yards while forcing the Gophers to convert on only 4 of 13 third-down attempts.
