Missouri State prepares to host Lindenwood for home opener Saturday

Missouri State hosts Lindenwood for its 2026 home opener at 6 p.m. this Saturday, September 12. The Bears look to rebound from an opening loss to Texas A&M, a game in which the team recorded 67 total yards and four first downs. Quarterback Skyler Locklear remains the starter for the Bears following his performance against the Aggies. Lindenwood enters the contest with a 1-1 record after a narrow loss to Stony Brook and a victory over Charleston Southern. Lions quarterback Pops Battle has scored at least one rushing touchdown in each of the first two games and leads an offense that has been perfect in red zone scoring attempts. The two teams previously met in 2024, when Missouri State secured a 28-14 victory.
