Mizzou football works to improve rushing attack before Border War

Missouri enters its upcoming Border War matchup seeking greater effectiveness from its ground game after a sluggish performance in the season opener against Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Head coach Eli Drinkwitz noted issues with offensive line communication and competitive focus during the first week of play. The Tigers will see the return of offensive tackle Cayden Green, who is expected to anchor the line this Friday. Star running back Ahmad Hardy remains sidelined and is not expected back until at least September 26 against Mississippi State. Further depth concerns emerged this week as Montana transfer Malae Fonoti was ruled out for the season with a torn ACL.
