Montana defeats Drake 45-10 in Missoula football matchup

FCS third-ranked Montana defeated the Drake football team 45-10 on Sept. 5 in Missoula. Drake quarterback Riley Warzynski completed 31-of-60 passes for 252 yards and one touchdown during the contest. Willis Nofsinger served as the Bulldogs' leading receiver, recording six catches for 89 yards, including a 67-yard reception. The loss dropped Drake to 0-2 on the season following a 38-35 home loss to South Dakota Mines in late August. Drake head coach Matt Walker noted the team moved the football throughout the game but struggled to finish drives against the Montana defense. The Bulldogs are scheduled to play their next game on Sept. 12 against the Northern Iowa Panthers at the UNI-Dome.
