Napoli approaches Chelsea to loan defender Benoit Badiashile

Summary

Napoli has initiated talks with Chelsea regarding a potential loan move for defender Benoit Badiashile. The Frenchman has struggled to find a regular starting spot at Chelsea since joining from AS Monaco for £32.7 million in 2023. Badiashile has only made 24 league starts in his three seasons at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea is open to offers for him this summer. Reports indicate that Napoli is exploring a loan agreement with an option for a permanent transfer. Chelsea is also considering the departure of other defenders, including Axel Disasi and Trevoh Chalobah, as the club looks to reshuffle its defense ahead of the new season.
