Naugatuck rallies for 27-20 football victory over Holy Cross

Naugatuck overcame a 14-point deficit to defeat Holy Cross 27-20 in their season opener on Thursday at Ray Snyder Sr. Field in Waterbury. The Greyhounds utilized a double-wing offense in the second half to score three unanswered touchdowns. Brandon Andoh provided the deciding points with a 4-yard rushing touchdown in the final minute of play. Holy Cross opened the contest with an early lead behind two touchdown passes from quarterback Brady Lombardo. Despite strong play from receiver Dae'Sean Graves, the Crusaders could not recover after Naugatuck's defensive unit stopped their late-game drive. The win marks a positive start for Naugatuck after a 4-6 finish last season.
