Nebraska hosts Ohio for football season opener at Memorial Stadium

The game features the debut of Nebraska quarterback Anthony Colandrea, who transferred from UNLV after earning Mountain West Player of the Year honors in 2025. Ohio enters the game with a new coaching staff and quarterback Nick Poulos, while attempting to rebuild with only five returning starters. Both programs will honor Frank Solich, a former head coach at each institution, who is set to receive the Legends Award and serve as the honorary coin toss captain during the event.
