New England Patriots sign defensive tackle DaQuan Jones to one-year contract

The New England Patriots agreed to terms with veteran defensive tackle DaQuan Jones on a one-year contract. The deal is worth a base of $3.5 million with a maximum value of $6 million. New England pursued a nose tackle throughout the offseason to replace Khyiris Tonga, as current starter Cory Durden is listed at 305 pounds. Jones, 34, joins the team after spending the previous four seasons with the Buffalo Bills. He is expected to take over nose tackle duties ahead of Week 2. During his 2025 campaign, Jones played in 12 regular-season games and recorded three sacks, 22 tackles, and one interception despite missing time with a calf injury.
