Newcastle pursues Danilo Santos for midfield reinforcements

Summary

Newcastle United is actively seeking to strengthen its midfield by pursuing Botafogo midfielder Danilo Santos. The club's focus comes after the departure of Sandro Tonali and ongoing uncertainties surrounding Bruno Guimaraes amid interest from Arsenal. Danilo, valued at approximately £25 million, has impressed since returning to Brazil and has earned a place in Brazil's squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. While Botafogo would prefer to retain him, they may consider a sale if Newcastle meets their valuation.
