Newcastle signs Kyran Thompson from Arsenal's academy

Newcastle United has agreed to sign Kyran Thompson from Arsenal, securing one of England's promising young attackers. The 16-year-old Under-17 international leaves Arsenal as a free agent after declining a new contract. Newcastle faced competition from several clubs, including Tottenham, but Thompson opted for a clearer path to senior football at Newcastle. He primarily plays as a right winger but is flexible in his positioning across the attack. Thompson will start with a scholarship deal, as he cannot turn professional until he turns 17 in September. This move continues Newcastle's focus on strengthening their youth academy.
