NFL fines Steelers practice squad defensive back Doneiko Slaughter

The NFL fined Pittsburgh Steelers defensive back Doneiko Slaughter $4,917 for unsportsmanlike conduct during a preseason game against the Buffalo Bills. This penalty, assessed for taunting in the second quarter, marks the only fine issued to a Steelers player throughout the team's three-game preseason schedule. Although Slaughter signed a reserve futures deal with the organization last winter, he did not secure a spot on the 53-man roster and was subsequently moved to the practice squad. Slaughter previously played at Tennessee and Arkansas before entering the league as an undrafted free agent. The Steelers continue preparations for their upcoming regular season opener against the Atlanta Falcons, which is scheduled for September 13 at Acrisure Stadium.
