Nicholas Perkins returns to the Scotia-Glenville football roster

Nicholas Perkins will return to the field this Friday for the Scotia-Glenville Tartans as they open their season against Watervliet/Heatly. His return follows the death of his older brother, Sam Perkins, who died on July 27 at age 19. Sam Perkins, a former wide receiver for the team, had been battling leukemia since his 2023 diagnosis. Nicholas Perkins plans to wear the No. 17 jersey formerly worn by his brother during the upcoming season. The younger brother, Thomas Perkins, is also scheduled to play this season as the starting quarterback for the junior varsity team. The family legacy at the school continues as the brothers pursue football as their chosen physical activity.
