Football fans traveling via NJ Transit Rail to see the New York Giants and New York Jets at MetLife Stadium must follow a new boarding and payment process this season. Passengers are required to present their ticket at designated stations, such as Secaucus Junction, to receive a wristband that serves as proof of fare for their return trip. The NJ Transit mobile app now allows riders to purchase specific event tickets that automatically activate on the day of the game. For those attending via other transport methods, return tickets can be purchased through the app or from agents at the stadium. Note that onsite ticket purchases at MetLife Stadium are restricted to credit cards and e-wallets, as cash is no longer accepted. NJ Transit plans to release rail schedules for MetLife Stadium travel a few days before each scheduled game.
