The No. 14 Angelo State University volleyball team concluded its run at the Colorado Premier Challenge in Denver with a runner-up finish. The Belles opened the tournament with three consecutive victories, including a four-set win over Bentley and a three-set sweep of No. 7 MSU Denver on Friday. On Saturday, the team advanced by defeating Lewis in straight sets before falling to No. 5 Ferris State in the Gold Bracket Championship. The loss ended the Belles' eight-match winning streak to start the season, bringing their overall record to 8-1. Head coach Chuck Waddington now turns his attention to the upcoming Lone Star Conference Challenge. Angelo State will host the event at the Junell Center, beginning with a match against West Texas A&M on Thursday.
