Norfolk and Chesapeake win minor league baseball matchups on September 10

The Norfolk Tides secured an 8-4 victory over the Memphis Redbirds on Wednesday, backed by a 12-hit offensive performance. Enrique Bradfield Jr. contributed two hits and two RBI, while Yaqui Rivera provided two shutout innings of relief to help close out the win. In Double-A action, the Chesapeake Baysox defeated the Richmond Flying Squirrels 8-7. Starter Joseph Dzierwa returned to form with five scoreless innings of work, allowing only two hits. Despite the Baysox bullpen conceding late runs, the team held on after scoring all eight of their runs in the first three frames, highlighted by a solo home run from Griff O’Ferall and a two-run shot from Ethan Anderson. Norfolk and Chesapeake are both scheduled to return to action on Thursday for continued series play.
