Oklahoma adds Braxton Fely to defensive roster following court order

Oklahoma is expanding its defensive line depth with the addition of former Boise State defensive tackle Braxton Fely. A Cleveland County District Court judge granted Fely a temporary restraining order against the NCAA on Thursday, allowing him to compete for the Sooners immediately. The court order further prevents the NCAA from applying its rule of restitution to the university regarding Fely’s eligibility status. This development follows a similar legal outcome for Arkansas transfer Danny Saili, who was also added to the team roster on Thursday after securing a separate court order. Fely recorded 24 tackles and 5.5 sacks last season with Boise State. The Sooners prepare to play UTEP at Gaylord Family — Oklahoma Memorial Stadium on Friday at 7 p.m.
