Oklahoma defensive lineman Danny Okoye returns to lineup against Michigan

Oklahoma football coach Brent Venables confirmed on Monday that defensive lineman Danny Okoye will return to play in Saturday's game against Michigan. Okoye missed the season-opening victory over UTEP after the coaching staff decided to hold him out of the contest. Venables also provided updates on other players, noting that offensive linemen Ryan Fodje and Jake Maikkula are expected to participate in practices this week. Maikkula missed the opener but appeared during pregame warmups, while Noah Best stepped in at center during his absence. Running back Tory Balylock also remained limited during last week’s warmups and did not see action against the Miners, though the team hopes he can travel for the Michigan game. The status of starting left tackle Michael Fasusi remains unclear following his shoulder injury in the season opener.
