Oliver Sorensen joins Celtic on loan from Parma

Oliver Sorensen has completed a transfer to Celtic on a season-long loan agreement from Parma. The 24-year-old midfielder finalized the move to Glasgow on September 2, 2026, with the Scottish club retaining an option to make the transfer permanent in the future. The acquisition follows the recent departures of Reo Hatate and Arne Engels, providing manager Martin O’Neill with additional midfield depth for the upcoming campaign. Sorensen previously played alongside former Celtic defender Erik Sviatchenko during their time together at Midtjylland. Prior to finalizing his move, the Denmark international consulted Sviatchenko regarding his time at the club. Sorensen is expected to transition into the squad immediately as the team continues its domestic season.
