Ombudsman claimed the Prince of Wales's Stakes for a second year in a row during Day Two of Royal Ascot on June 17. Jockey William Buick rallied the five-year-old Godolphin colt from mid-field to win by four lengths, marking Buick's 40th victory at Ascot. This win made Ombudsman the first horse since 1995 to achieve back-to-back victories in the event. Trainer John Gosden praised Ombudsman's impressive performance and mentioned a potential future target at the Juddmonte International in August.
