Orel Hershiser to receive Walk of Fame star in August

Orel Hershiser, a former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher and broadcaster, will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on August 13. The ceremony, taking place at 11:30 a.m. at 6755 Hollywood Blvd., will be emceed by renowned broadcaster Bob Costas. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, along with Hershiser’s broadcasting partner Joe Davis and pitching great Clayton Kershaw, will speak at the event. Hershiser is celebrated for his 13-year career with the Dodgers, culminating in a Cy Young Award and World Series MVP in 1988.
