Orlando Dreamers reveal new stadium renderings for MLB team proposal

The Orlando Dreamers are advancing their plans to attract a Major League Baseball team by releasing new designs for a proposed $2 billion stadium. The group intends to seek $975 million in tourism tax revenue from Orange County to help fund the project. The proposed domed stadium would seat 45,000 fans and is planned for the International Drive corridor. Economic studies suggest the project could generate over 38,000 construction jobs and more than 52,000 permanent jobs. Orange County leaders face a decision on how to allocate nearly $3 billion in tourism tax requests, including the Dreamers’ proposal.
